Summary

Since leaving University in July '07 I have been working for Or Media in South London as an Interactive Developer. As part of my role I have worked upon the production of numerous Flash and web projects throughout their lifecycle including:

Prior to working at Or Media, I studied Interactive Media Production at the Bournemouth University Media School, graduating with a First-Class Honours. During my final year I received the D&AD New Blood award for my major project.

Core technical skills

  • Actionscript 3.0 with XML using OOP.
  • XHTML and CSS to W3C Standard.
  • PHP 5 OOP using Symfony framework.
  • Javascript using JQuery libraries.
  • Experienced in SVN and Trac, set up.
  • Understanding of MySQL and ORM.
  • Awareness of MVC concepts and design patterns

Professional experience

  • Development of various commercial and B2B websites, using the Symfony framework for both front-end and back-end.
  • Carrying out functional enhancements to existing websites.
  • Prototyping new ideas and technology for projects alongside the design team.
  • Working within an agile environment, whilst using SVN and Trac.
  • Assisting in the scoping of new ideas for pitches.
  • Knowledge of website usability and accessibility standards, WAI, W3C.
  • Awareness of website optimisation solutions.

  • Contributed on e-commerce projects for Ravel, Dune.
